Coach Ceres Shines in Bali, Heads to the APPT Grand Slam Jakarta

Coach Ceres Liñán Ramírez won the Pro Category at the Nox Cup in Bali, partnering with Eli Nogueras. The pair beat Albina Khabibulina and Laura Alcácer, both coaches at The Bali Padel Academy, in the final.

From there, Ceres went on to compete at the APPT Grand Slam Jakarta, one of Asia's premier padel tournaments, up against some of the region's strongest players. Padel has grown fast enough across Asia that a Grand Slam in Jakarta is now a genuinely deep draw, which was not true three years ago.

Competing at that level keeps her coaching sharp. She brings tactical knowledge built from years of high-level competition into every lesson, alongside the technical precision and energy she's known for at the club.

The useful part for a normal player is not the highlight shots. It is that someone who played a Grand Slam draw last month can look at your positioning for thirty seconds and tell you exactly why you keep losing the same point. For the club's younger and newer players especially, watching a coach who's still actively competing tends to be more motivating than any pep talk. She also coaches the competition classes on the kids academy, where roughly half the group has decided they are going to do this professionally. Give it time.
