Bam Bam Padel is pleased to welcome Guillermo Montanos to our coaching team in Ubud. Known to everyone as Guille, he brings a depth of experience, a Spanish Federation certification, and an approach to coaching that makes every session genuinely enjoyable. Here is who he is.

From Madrid to Ubud

Guillermo is 25 years old and grew up in Madrid. He started playing padel at age 11 and began coaching at 16 — which means he has been teaching the sport for nearly a decade. Padel is not something he picked up later in life. It has been central to who he is since childhood, and that shows in the way he communicates the game.

Credentials and Coaching Background

Guillermo is certified by the Spanish Padel Federation — the same governing body that produced some of the best padel coaches in the world. His practical experience is just as strong: he spent years coaching in a competitive junior padel academy in Madrid, working with players across all ages and ability levels.

That academy environment is demanding. Junior padel academies at the competitive level require coaches who can manage individual development across technical, tactical, and physical dimensions — and who can do so consistently across age groups from young beginners to teenagers preparing for tournaments. Guillermo did this for years before coming to Bali.

A Complete Performance Approach

What makes Guillermo unusual among padel coaches is that he is also a qualified nutritionist. This is not a bolt-on credential — it reflects how he thinks about player development. Performance on court is connected to recovery, nutrition, and overall physical condition. Guillermo can support players on all of these fronts, not just stroke technique.

In His Own Words

"I'm Guillermo, from Madrid, but you can call me Guille. I've been playing padel since I was 11 and coaching since I was 16 — a sport that has been a huge part of my life. I've coached teams of all levels in Madrid and also worked in a competitive junior padel academy, helping players grow both on and off the court. I'm also a nutritionist, which allows me to bring a more complete approach to performance."

"What I love most about padel is how social and accessible it is — anyone can start playing and enjoy it from day one. And my favorite shot is the backhand volley, which I like to use to do a bit of damage to my opponents — always with a smile."

"For me, motivation is the most important part of every session. That's why I always give 100% in every class, making sure my players not only improve, but also enjoy the process and leave the court wanting more."
